raum19,6m³ was founded in the year 2001 as a mobile exhibition space.The reason was, and still is, the necessity for young artist to dispose of an independent exhibition room. Since the date of its creation in Germany-, raum19,6m³ has transformed its interior for each exhibition, as well as changed its location. Different Cities, different Stats. Exhibitions were already realised in Germany, Switzerland an in France. The distances travelled between the cities were as many opportunities to establish connections with other artistes who sometimes joined me on the road. The special feature of the project raum19,6m³ is its possibility to change place. To be located in regard to a particular situation or circumstance of an exhibition. For me, as initiator of the project raum19,6m³ having the possibility to plan and realize projects, and the chance to exchange with other artistes, is of the highest importance.
